Spanish euro coins - First series (1999 -2009)

Spanish euro coins have a unique design for each denomination, with a common theme for each of the three series of coins. The minor coins feature the Obradoiro façade of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, the middle coins Miguel de Cervantes, Spanish writer, and the two major coins the effigy of King Juan Carlos I.
